Each installation is engineered, tested and documented according to current EU directives. Below the certifications and safety frameworks behind every Cargo Lift we deliver.

Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

All lifts carry CE marking under the EU Machinery Directive (and the upcoming Machinery Regulation EU 2023/1230). De Staalbroeders B.V. acts as the responsible manufacturer.

PLd

EN ISO 13849-1 Performance Level d

Where applicable, the safety system is engineered to Performance Level d, a recognized high-reliability category for moving installations.

PNOZ

Pilz safety relay

Each lift is equipped with a dual-channel safety circuit and a Pilz PNOZ X3 safety relay. Proven, industry-standard hardware for safe motion control.

Liftinstituut approval

Our lifts meet the Dutch standards and can be approved by Liftinstituut, the leading independent inspection authority for lifting installations.

Safety mechanisms in every lift

When something is off, the lift stops. Restart is only possible after inspection and a manual reset. No shortcuts.

Dual-channel safety circuit (A/B)

Two independent channels validate every safe state. No single fault can compromise the system.

Emergency stop device

Accessible E-stops shut down the installation instantly.

Door interlocks

No motion while doors are open. Period.

Contactor monitoring (feedback)

Continuous feedback verifies the safety relays are functioning as expected.

Manual reset after a fault

After any safety event, an operator must inspect and manually reset before restart.
